WHAT PEOPLE IN ALASKA THINK ABOUT SARAH PALIN

She is really just a mayor from a small town outside Anchorage who has been a governor for only 1.5 years, and has ZERO national and international experience. I shudder to think that she could be the person taking that 3AM call on the White House hotline, and the one who could potentially be charged with leading the US in the volatile international scene that exists today. —Rose M., Fairbanks, AK
She is VERY, VERY conservative, and far from perfect. She's a hunter and fisherwoman, but votes against the environment again and again. Alaskans, collectively, are just as stunned as the rest of the nation. She is doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national level, and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. I think she's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for a woman in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it. There are far many other women who have worked their way up and have much more experience that would have been better choices. OK....if I had even thought of voting for Senator McCain, he has totally blown it today. I cannot believe in this day and age and with all of the issues we have at hand, these no substance, no pride, no answers Republicans have gone on a tirade about a statement that Barack Obama made comparing do nothing McCain and Palin to the last eight years of the Bush fiasco of a presidency! Are you that sensitive Governor pit-bull-like, hockey mom, Palin? If you are, then what is all of this talk about your toughness? Get a grip McCain and Palin You are nothing but REPUBLICAN lying bags of wind. You have no answers for the problems of this country and you are trying to divert the attention from your no answer stance to making it about nothing. You people ought to have a spin off show from Seinfeld, a show totally about nothing; CainPalinfeld-a campaign about nothing and without honor. Yes we know you bled and was imprisoned for your country Senator McCain, but you know, there are a lot of heroes out there who did the same thing, but know they need to sit themselves down since they would not make any kind of decent President for this country. Every war hero does not make a good President! Get a grip! And the for the bridge to nowhere before I was against it Palin, you are nothing but a fraud. If she is so tough why in the world should Joe Biden have to watch what he says to her when they debate? Anybody who is stupid enough to have five children in these days and times of hardship and birth control (but of course you do have choices now don’t you?)Should be ripped a new one in a debate where she is going to be totally out of her league. Raise your kids, do your job, run for whatever office you want, but do it without all the nastiness you have shown and stop gnashing your teeth into Obama like you are some rabid dog! Old yeller was kinder! Stick to the issues! Stick to the issues! For God's and the country's sake, stick to the dam issues! You say Country first, then discuss how you will put the country first and not that bag of wind solutions you people always have(LET THE RICH GET RICHER, THE MIDDLE CLASS PAY OUR DEBTS, AND THE POOR DIE!). IF you are so tough then bring it on then! Come on with your toughness Palin. Let Joe Biden get a really good crack at you! Why should it look as if he is beating up on you? You don't mind beating up on him and Obama! Turn about is fair play I say! Of course you chose to give your first interview to Charlie Gibson which is typical since he will probably only ask you about how to kill a moose, if there is good hunting in Alaska, or if you think you are being the victim of sexism!

Stop criticizing a man you know can't hold a candle to when it comes to integrity. Stop criticizing his work as a community organizer. That is one of the noblest ways to serve our country! How dare you ridicule that kind of experience. That is one of the best types of preparation for serving the PEOPLE of this country! He has been in the trenches with the poor and know what to do to make their lives better while you were growing up working, and having children in frigid Alaska (hence the five kids, since their is nothing else to do apparently)!I tell you what! I have been talking to a great many friends about you and your viciousness and extreme right wing opinions. If their answers are any indication of what the women of this country are feeling, you are going to be clobbered at the poles! I don't want your advice on how to pray for an Alaska pipeline or how to pray for the war in Iraq! I know how to pray thank you! And that interview by Mr. McCain's daughter; telling every person who has personally suffered in a war that they don't know what that is all about, BITE ME! I happen to be a veteran and your VERY STUPID COMMENTARY was VILE AND OFFENSIVE! RUN A CAMPAIGN ON THE ISSUES THAT ARE OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE TO THIS COUNTRY OR GO AWAY AND BURY YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND AS REPUBLICANS KNOW HOW TO DO SO WELL! Barack Obama is too nice, fair, honorable and intelligent of a person to get down and dirty but I don't have to be nice since apparently you people don't feel you have to be truthful. Your ad about Barack Obama allowing kindergarten sex ed. was deplorable! If you have to stoop that low for votes then you are untrustworthy, dispicable and desperate!
